Award Plaques

An award plaque is a symbolic gift given to a person, group of people or an organization to recognize excellence in a given field. Award plaques, like trophies, statuettes, medal, certificates, ribbons and badges are meant to signify a much larger achievement in society. Honestly, if not for the prestige behind the gift who would care about a ribbon or a trophy? Filling your house up with fake award plaques doesn't sound too enjoyable.

And The Winner Is...

Who determines the recipient or recipients of award plaques? The reasons could be endless, and is usually determined by the status of the awarder. In the corporate world, award plaques are commonly given to newer employees as well as senior officials. The corporate award plaque may be awarded to a hard-working employee or from a client to a business owner. Awards corporate plaques are often very exquisitely made and detailed, with stained boards and piano-finish or lacquer finishes, as well as laser engraved plates and discs. Award plaques for corporate workers may also be for lower-level employees where a recipient's name would be honored as an “Employee Of The Month.” There are also corporate glass award plaques for a very prestigious honor.

Other award plaques may be awarded for retirement - ministers as well as office employees or government officials. There are also appreciation award plaques which happen on a community level, with no ulterior motive except to show thanks to a contributing citizen. Acrylic award plaques offer a lightweight and resilient design with an almost wool-like feel. A wood plaque for award is a standard favorite and a high quality piece of wood can be just as pricey as award plaques made from other materials. A favorite is the wooden perpetual award design for plaques that features an award plaque with ongoing panels of brass that can be customized, and added or removed on a regular basis. There are also multi-colored award plaques in stains of red, black, blue, white and many others. The engraved award plaque features text writing that is cut or impressed into a surface.

No matter the style, award plaques are an excellent way to say: I Appreciate You. If everyone won an award at least one time in their life, the world would be a very happy place.
